HTUC will hold its annual general meeting on Wednesday 24 Feburary between 7-8pm at the Cafe Z bar on Stoke Newington High Street (opposite the police station).

It is open to all but only current delegates to HTUC will be allowed to vote.

Assemble at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park, St Georges' Road, London SE1, (near Imperial War Museum), from 11.30am onwards, (Nearest tubes: Lambeth North or Elephant & Castle).

The march will proceed along Lambeth Road to Lambeth Bridge - and then to the rally venue via Horseferry Road; Greycoat Place; Rochester Row; Emery Hill Street; Francis Street; and Ambrosden Avenue.

(b) Rally
The Rally is being held in Westminster Cathedral Hall, 42 Francis Street, London SW1P 1QW, (but, please note, the entrance is in Ambrosden Avenue). The rally will start at 1.00pm. It is being chaired by Janice Godrich and the speakers will include Mark Serwotka, (PCS General Secretary) and a representative from the Hewlett Packard dispute.

An age of austerity is what all three established parties are promising after the forthcoming general election. All are pledged to cutting public services in order to pay for the public budget deficit. Ordinary people are being asked to pay for a deficit caused by this government nationalising the gambling losses run up by the bankers.
