I'll be using this section of the site, my blog, to record notes on the development of the Hackney TUC website. The site is now functioning, and many of the initial modules and functions of the site are now working. The basic style sheet is installed.

The site uses drupal - www.drupal.org - which has a host of very, very nice features, including automatically interpreting links as links, a glossary to enable the language of the site to be explained to new users, automatic translation of site content into PDF files, site-wide searching and many other features. Some of them aren't yet fully configured, and there are many other modules which could be installed. If you're using the Hackney TUC website, and think we should add an additional feature, contact me and I'll investigate whether it's available.

Creating user accounts, and defining roles for 'affiliate' accounts, 'user' accounts, and 'HTUC officer' accounts

Adding some basic content
