The daily struggle for reforms, for the amelioration of the condition of the workers within the framework of the existing social order and for democratic institutions, offers to the socialists the only means of engaging in the proletarian class war and working in the direction of the final goal - the conquest of political power and the suppression of wage labour.

The RMT has called a National Shop Stewards conference on Saturday 28th October at the Camden Centre in London.
It is open to delegates from Trade Union branches, trade union councils, and joint
union committees.
Adverts will be put in the Labour movement press, and RMT is writing to other trade
unions.
This follows on from the conference on working class representation organised by the RMT last January, where Bob Crow spoke about the need to build a shop stewards movement as part of rebuilding the trades union movement.
The focus of the conference will be the campaign for a Trade Union Freedom Bill.
