Hackney TUC is hosting this evening event which will look at specific organising initiatives which are being planned for the borough.



HTUC's aim is to provide support networks to unions who are organising workers in the borough. One of our aims in revitalising HTUC over the last few years has been to put infrastructures in place so that we are in a position to provide support for unionisation campaigns.



We now want to link up different organising initiatives in the borough in order to make Hackney a place where workers know that they can get help and support from HTUC and their unions.



The forum is open to all to contribute, but we would like to hear from you - in advance - if you have a particular campaign/initiative that you wish to raise. Unions which have agreed to speak so far are:

• PCS on recruiting in the Mare Street 'Working Links'

• The Community Union: organising in Ladbrokes
• TGWU
• RMT
