Hackney Community Transport (now CTPlus service) will be on strike next Friday 27 November and Hackney TUC will do what it can to support our colleagues in their dispute.



National Express East Anglia strike rock solid as RMT renews calls for company to be stripped of franchises

RAIL UNION RMT confirmed that today’s strike action on National Express East Anglia has been solidly supported across the franchise with the vast majority of services at a complete standstill and with managers running only a few token, ghost trains as a publicity stunt.

RMT members have shown their all-out determination to secure a fair deal on pay and working conditions from a company which has sucked in billions in public subsidies in the past ten years.

RAIL UNION RMT announced today that members working on National Express East Anglia have voted by a massive nine to one majority in favour of strike action in a dispute over pay, conditions and reorganisation.

The Communication Workers Union has announced a further day of strike action commencing the evening of Thursday 12th July and continuing through Friday 13th July.


Solidarity With Rail And Tube Cleaners

On Monday 8th January, Rail and Tube cleaners protested at City Hall against attacks on cleaning jobs. Their union, RMT, was demanding that Mayor Ken Livingstone intervene to stop cleaning contractor ISS from cutting over 200 jobs.
