Aspland & Marcon: not for sale!

Residents of Aspland & Marcon estates hang their banner from the front of the main block of Marcon court.

Residents were particularly angry that on this day in April 2004, the Council had ordered a major clean-up of the estate because some officials from Ken Livingstone's office would be visiting. Residents contrasted this to the appalling state the Council usually keeps the estate in!

The Tenants' & Residents' Association is campaigning for the estate to be refurbished, and against Council plans to consider privatising it.
